BERNINA L 890 is ideal for working with all types of fabrics, including knits. The new model is 100% designed and developed in Switzerland and manufactured by BERNINA.

Pneumatic threader

Threads magically move into the machine with a single press of the foot pedal. So both hands remain free. The L 890 automatically sets the loopers in the correct position for the threader – no need to turn the handwheel or search for the correct position. Just press the pedal, and the job is done!

Intuitive operation via touchscreen

Stitch selection, individual settings and stitch properties, or saving to memory – all options are available on the touchscreen, and it allows you to make changes during sewing. Advanced users can apply all settings directly in expert mode, while guided mode offers step-by-step instructions. In both modes, thread tension, stitch length and selection, and differential feed are automatically set.

Stitch control

When working with the L 890, you can change all settings individually and save up to 100 stitches in your personal memory. Also, while sewing, you can adjust the stitch length, differential feed, thread tension, cutting width, or any other stitch parameter. A simple turn of the MTC (Micro Thread Control) knob allows you to change the thread length for overlocking.

Free Hand System

With the BERNINA Free Hand System (FHS), you can raise and lower the presser foot with your knee. In addition, the presser foot easily flips up to provide convenient access to the needles.

Large working area

The L 890's working area is 14.5 cm. It has more workspace to the right of the needle and more working height than any other BERNINA overlocker. Easily sew closed items by simply feeding sleeves or cuffs over the convenient free arm. With the sewing table (included), the working area is further increased, which creates comfort in work.
